hey all, is it true, berlin may be changing it's venue a little bit next year? i hope it's true...bring back the grass roots of america's sport... i would be there in a minute...i tried putting together an"entry level sportsman" a couple years ago, but could'nt even get it to the track to be competitive, due to the rising costs, and standards, that this so called "entry level" class was at that time.
no thanks to the 4 cylinders, it's just not my thing. however, i do have a steet stock to run at spartan, galesburg, kzoo, mid michigan(springport).
i would claim berlin as my 1st choice, if they go that way.
any info would be great.
talk to ya all soon.

Some people figured on combining the sportsman and prostocks there would be 30 plus everynight. I knew it wouldn't happen as many decided to park em. My car is finished and sitting idle, if the sportsman division was still a division, I would have been racing a long time ago. So, if the prostocks dwindle because of a crap economy, they'll go too huh? But we can have...........4 young guns cars, but because there may be "a star of tomorrow" in there racing....we'll keep them.. I'm continuing to scratch my head........

I think if Mike would have put the Pro-stocks on the 790 tires that the sportsman ran last year with that same tire rotation they had he would have 30 + cars every week. The increase in tire cost for the year is more than double of what the sporstman class was, thats what has kept so many cars parked. I think the 790 tire with a spoiler would have made for some good racing and a whole lot of cars due to the less expensive tire bill.Just my opinion, but I know that has definetly kept some cars away.

One thing I wish Mike would bag is that Young Gun class. Strung out, four or five car features? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......... If there really are "future stars" in the pits, let 'em do what all the other stars from Berlin's past had to do, and show their stuff against all the weekly regulars... Why should the "future stars" have their own private little races? The Sennekers, Millers, Vanderlaans, Bensons, etc, etc, didn't have that luxury...

I would make it 14-19 years old. Not every 17 year old or his/her family has the resources to run in the upper classes. The car count would at least double if the age limit was bumped up.

As far as I've heard, if there isn't much participation this year in the YG class, they will move up to Prostocks and race with us.
