Oliver's Collision Sponsors the Pony Stocks
Announces a $2500 Point Fund
February 5, 2010
The Pony Stocks have become a very popular weekly division at Springport Motor Speedway, and now due to their popularity, they have a new series sponsor, Oliver's Collision. This division will now be known as the "Oliver's Collision Pony Stock Series".
The most important part of this sponsorship program is the $2500 point fund this series will start the season with. Maurice Randall, the 2010 Promoter at the speedway said, "This is an outstanding point fund for this series, and to be able to start the season knowing we will have something for these drivers at the Championship Banquet is just one more thing we don't have to worry about this year. And hopefully, we can find ways to add even more to this point fund." The owner of Oliver's Collision, Chuck Wilkinson said, "No favors need be returned, I love racing and am looking forward to being at the track this summer."
The Oliver's Collision Pony Stock Series consists of front wheel drive compact cars powered by 4 cylinder engines. They are rebuilt to handle the rigors of stock car racing. The drivers are protected by a full rollcage, racing seat, and 5 point safety harness. To keep costs down in the construction of these cars, only certain modifications are allowed.
Many of the drivers from the speedway's past seasons are returning to compete in this series for 2010 along with some new faces as well. The Oliver's Collision Pony Stock Series will be competing every Saturday night beginning with the season opener on April 17th and running through the big season-ending special, the Michigan Cup, on the weekend of September 10-12.
Oliver's Collision strives to be the finest collision repair service in south central Michigan and is proud to be a part of the Collision Group of America. Oliver's Collision has two locations in Jackson, Michigan, at 735 E. South St. and 2596 Airport Rd. Please visit oliverscollision.com/ for more information.
