This Friday, Spartan Speedway will honor one of the great racing drivers and gentlemen of all time with the running of the " Chargin Charlie Ryan Memorial." Charlie was a multiple time champion at Spartan and was a master at running the quarter mile Mason oval. Andrews Chevrolet super late models, Valvoline Instant Oil Change modifieds, Performance Automotive Northwest sportsmen, pure stocks and Boss Snow Plow-Mid Michigan Snow Equipment pony stocks will run a full racing program. Charlie always was up for a challenge and loved total inverts. If you like short track action, you may want to be there because the fields will be fully inverted in Charlie's honor. Pit gates open at 2, spectator gates open at 5 and racing begins at 7:30 pm. Spartan Speedway is located one mile north of Mason on Cedar St. at College Rd.
