Once again, Well said 'mj'!!! As a season ticket holder since they have been available, I thought Mike has done a good job in his 1st year. Keep supporting the track people, talk to the promoter, MAKE IT HAPPEN!! The old days are gone, they were wonderful memories but problems existed then too. Heck, went to Kinross this summer, 4 lm's for the feature! Count your blessings folks, we are fortunate to have such quality racing in our area.

No business can operate like the government. Even Berlin. They dont have an Obama money tree. You cant spend more than you bring in. Give Mike a chance. No one can please everyone.

It sounds like this season's number one beef with Berlin, whether from participants or fans, is the lack of "people skills" among the staff... and the majority of the focus seems to be towards Mike in particular. Funny, but I remember Chet as having a reputation for running things with a iron fist, but also with fairness. You didn't hear a lot of negativity thrown his way, but then there wern't websites and forums for everybody to vent on back then either. I don't know what the answer is... I know I was pleasantly surprised by the the car counts this year, considering the lousy economy in this state, and for the most part I enjoyed every visit I made to the track in '09. I just hope we see most of the teams back in 2010. Lord knows everybody has plenty of time to regroup and rethink about things, thanks to another one of Michigan's wonderful half-year-long winters coming just around the corner.... 'Hope everybody has a happy and safe off season..

So many people quick to criticize. No one has all the answers and there will always be problems with Berlin. If some of you people know how to solve all the problems then you should have bought the track. You sound like you would be very successful... As for the Tim Devos thing, he went out on the track without a transponder. How many years has berlin had a rule about having a transponder while on the track? Tim didn't have one, got black flagged which is normal, and got mad and threw a fit and left... I would say "cya." I think Mike B is doing pretty good in my opinion. The new bleachers, new pit road, victory lane, new tech staff, and he is advertising the track well. He deserves more credit and respect, I think he only wants the best. The cash bar at the banquet is a good idea too. Not everyone drinks, why should they pay for you to drink? Just a different way to look at it.
