The rumors that I hear are neither of the Gentry cars will be at Berlin this year. I know they weren't full time in several years but they always showed up for the big shows. I heard that they won't even be back for the big shows. Hopefully I am incorrect but that is what I heard!

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Great to hear news about the drivers/teams racing this coming year. Thanks folks, you're getting us all pumped up for the coming season! Hope TVH gets a win this year! Also hope Gentry does race at Berlin some, they are always a nice addition to any race, Anyone heard about Joe Bush's plans? How 'bout the Szotko Boys? There did seem to be a few more late models toward the end of the year last season. I hope some of the racers that weren't able to race the whole year do try to make it back this year. We sure need them! p.s.- Rob, you aren't insignificant! If you're racing you are SOMEBODY!

A month worth of Superbowl-type hype, three hours worth of pre-race nonsense (while they KNEW bad weather was in the forecast), all culminating in what amounted to a rain shortened 150 lap joke. If I wanted to listen to music, I would've tuned in American Idol! Shame on NASCRAP for getting so caught up in its own hoopla that it cost the fans a decent race. If somebody would've yanked that pretty boy off the stage and started the 500 ON TIME they could've gotten the whole show in before it started spittin'... No wonder I quit watchin' those preema donnas...

Wonderful info everyone! It's great to hear about all the teams plans at the various tracks for the coming year. We need about 2 1/2 months of our own hype til the green flag falls.

I admit, NASCAR does definately over hype the races, but they are in a structured scheduale, and starting early probobly wasn't an option. "It's all about the Benjamins" I do like all the hours of coverage on SPEED however. It's amazing how much info is broadcast, through all the ranks, from the frontrunners to the also rans, they do a good job. How bout Johnny!! Starting 2nd this weekend and no $pon$er$!! Seems like one of our local W. Mich. businesses would pick up on him. Maybe someone like a Gorden Foods, who have put their name on whole races at MIS, or Meijer. I know the economy is hurting right now, but what better way to put your name in the national spotlight? Viewership is WAY up on the truck telecasts too. Hey, it's much better racing at times, than the prima donnas, right? Nice to see Butch Miller racing in the trucks this year. Hope he picks it up a lot though. Also Andy Ponstein missed the Nationwise race. Too bad! Love it when our local boys show up at national events. Well, all this talk of who is doing what next year has really got me exicted for the start of the racing season. All our gang will be back in the 4th turn all year at Berlin, and we are planning on doing some race chasing to take in the supers and some big SLM shows. If you are looking to fill out your racing calender, I would recomend going to Stockcar Extreme and checking out the 'Around the Ashpalt' Blog. Larry is a friend of yours from Ohio who we met years ago at some of the SLM races, and his latest blog lists most of the big shows for the year. Keep up the hype for our local teams, please, and keep the rumors alive!
